A Hard Time At Work

Chapter 1 ~ A New Job

Today is a special day for a dog named Poppy.  Poppy is a cute little Boston Terrier with a big heart.

Poppy is super excited because he has a new job in the Plaza Tower Office Building as a Senior Executive Management Director for a Multinational Media Corporation. 

In other words, a nice job with a high paying salary.  Cha-ching!

Waiting for Poppy is a large office on the top floor, with floor to ceiling windows.  It will have a beautiful view of the city.

Before his first day at work, Poppy went shopping and bought some new suits.  He got 2 suits from Giorgio Armani and 3 from Burberry.  Poppy likes his suits to fit tightly and look good.

He went to bed that night very happy.  When he woke up the next morning, he was refreshed and ready for his first day at his new job.

Poppy got ready and hopped in his car and was on his way.  As he was driving down the street, he turned the corner, and saw the beautiful Plaza Tower.

He parked in his personal reserved parking place and ran inside.  His stomach had butterflies, but only because he was excited, not scared.

He proudly walked to the front reception desk and introduced himself.

"Hello, I am Poppy, I am the new Senior Executive Management Director.  Can you please have someone show me to my office?  Thanks".

The receptionist said, "Sure, I will have Amanda here show you the way.  Welcome to the Tower, I know you will like it here".

"Thank you very much, I'm sure I will.  Have a good day".  Said Poppy.

So Amanda, a pretty cat receptionist, showed Poppy the way to his new office.

"Here we are, this is your office, with your name on the door".  Said Amanda.

"Thank you Amanda, I appreciate your help".  Poppy said.

Poppy reached out his hand, grabbed the handle, and turned.  But before he could open the door, he heard his name called.

"Poppy"!
